Autumnal Foods With Firebird Range Cookers.

The clocks have gone back and the weather is getting colder. The autumn season is definitely here and with it comes a mouthwatering array of warming meals you can cook right from your kitchen. The Firebird Range Cooker team have been busy brainstorming ideas for their favourite recipes to cook on their range cooker. This week it’s the gingery Carrot Soup.
Gingery Carrot Soup:
This is a must cook soup this autumn. The perks of this dish are that it’s easy to cook, so if you’re an experienced chef or you’re just starting to learn the ropes, this dish is for you.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4 people
Total Time: 30 minutes
Step 1 – Heat your oven to 425°F. Take 1 tablespoon of oil a place it in a large saucepan over a medium to high heat. Dice your onion and season with ¼ tablespoons each of salt & pepper and place in the saucepan. Stir the onion until they begin to soften. This will roughly take 5 minutes.
Step 2 – Add your carrots, ginger and 4 cups of water and bring to boil. Turn the heat down and leave to simmer until all of your vegetables are soft and tender, This will take 15 – 20 minutes. Plenty of time for you to lay the table.
Step 3 – Reach for the ladle and carefully place your soup into bowls, finish off with a sprinkle of pepper and yoghurt if desired and serve with a french stick.
All you need to do now is lay your table with cutlery, bowls of soup and plates of bread and don’t forget to tell the children dinner is served!
